Pet Products eCommerce Platform
One platform for cat and dog products, designed to educate first-time pet owners as well as sell to them.
First-time pet owners do not know what to buy. A store that explains is more useful than a store that lists.
The situation
Cat and dog products needed to live on one platform. Many buyers were first-time pet owners who needed education, and others needed products for specific concerns such as skin irritation, dryness, itching and cracked paws. The design had to make relevant content easy to find.
What we built
A store that sells for both dogs and cats, with breed-based content and FAQs for owners who are still learning. Customers get easy access to product information and a one-step checkout. Analytics report on products, users and timelines, and the administrator can see reports on buyers and sellers.
Concern-specific recommendations carry the most weight. An owner who types an itching problem should see a short, relevant list and an explanation, not a full catalogue.
What changed
The catalogue is easy to browse, the design is intuitive, order management is streamlined and payments are secure and quick.
