Marketplaces are won by checkout. If paying is slow or confusing, the catalogue does not matter.

The situation

The platform had to manage many items on one platform, set return and refund policies, integrate trusted payment gateways, avoid buggy checkout processes and handle confidential data securely.

What we built

A marketplace for Zambia and Botswana with a one-step checkout for all orders. Customers have easy access to product information and the administrator and customers receive notifications. Orders receive a unique code based on item type, and vendors go through identity verification before they can sell.

Web and mobile applications are available on a role basis, so a buyer, a vendor and an administrator each see the interface that suits them.

What changed

The system is simple to use, easy to reach, secure and quick at payments, and available anywhere and at any time.
